HOT VOX presents: Runrummer // ABQ // Jetlines // Coralcrown // Toby Charles

HOT VOX presents a night of live music at the effortlessly quirky Zigfrid Von Underbelly. This venue has live music at its very core and is situated in the heart of Hoxton Square. Take a midweek dip into musical decadence with some of the freshest artists HOT VOX has to offer.

ARTISTS PLAYING

Runrummer With BBC Introducing support and a sold out debut show under her belt, Runrummer is an artist on the rise and certainly one to look out for.

Originally from Birmingham, she takes her moniker from the famous Rum Runner Nightclub that helped launch local Brummie bands Duran Duran and Dexys Midnight Runners in the 70s and 80s. Now based in East London, Runrummer is the brainchild of Livi Morris; a 24-year-old singer, songwriter and producer with an interesting past. A veteran of the music industry by her teens, Livi spent time writing and collaborating with EDM heavyweights Showtek and The Chainsmokers before embarking on her own solo musical journey. Like many of the new crop of young British pop, Runrummer pulls influences from 80s electro bands alongside contemporary sounds from artists like Lorde and Flume, while her lyrics explore complex subjects from sexuality and gender identity to mental health.

ABQ Hailing from Belfast in Northern Ireland, ABQ are a unique proposition. Lead singer Paul Shevlin, winner of the BPI / BRIT Awards sponsored ‘Next BRIT Thing’ has a distinctive voice, combining emotion, character and texture that certainly gives this outfit an undeniable edge. The band have been compared to the likes of Imagine Dragons, Snow Patrol and Biffy Clyro.
