Isaac Asumadu & The Topsyike Band
“The title of the album ‘Believe in yourself’ is a true reflection of Isaac’s intriguing life. The song ‘Storylines’, invites us into the intimate relationship he had with his mother. The songs ‘Don’t Give Up’, ‘Believe in Yourself’ and ‘Positive’ earn him the platform to encourage the youth of today. At a tender age of 10, after losing his mother - his only parent - he was driven to a lonely place of survival where he discovered a passion for playing the drums, a way of escaping the world that awaits him. He later developed a serene love affair with the sweet notes of the keyboard “My place of comfort” he says….
Isaac focused very hard and taught himself how to play by listening to Bob James. He gained a deeper love for jazz and became familiar with Successful Artists like Herbie Hancock, Chick Corea and Steve Weingart, Franck Mc Cumb…. true inspirations.
Subsequently Isaac’s confidence grew much more by playing for amazing artists such as Amy Winehouse, Craig David, lethal Bizzle, Donnie McClurkin, Ron Kenoly, Jamie Scott, Alex Catania, Dee Anderson and many more.
Isaac is now working with BBC Brighton alongside other projects.
From having his own recording studio came the need to form the Topsyike group. The Topsyike Band has successfully toured the UK and abroad. A journey I’m sure we’d all love to be part of and looking forward to Topsyike Band becoming a household name.
Believe in yourself!”

Kid Cupid
‘Nostalgic and calming – this London-based act exudes infectious energy and charm in their fusion of upbeat electronica and indie pop to deliver a style full of visceral and intense liveliness’ (Nakid Magazine, 2016)
‘With a neon soundscape, infusions of wavering bass, nifty riffs and luscious rhythm leaves scope for it to be injected onto the dancefloor. Whilst snare drums add an enchanting tribal twist’ (The National Student, 2016)
‘An unusual styling of pop as tribal vocals ring out throughout the song, with thunderous drums beating to the heavens, ‘Siren’ cuts through all of the noise of current pop music, acting more like a call to arms to deal with our modern social state. ‘ (Colorising, 2016)
