The Amazing Devil + LOCKS + Flying Tailor + DD Allen + Dusty Wagons

Wildly theatrical and immersive, folk-revolutionaries The Amazing Devil summon up an eight-member orchestra of beating toms, mournful strings, searing electric guitar and a churning north-sea-drawn sound driven by the raging cut-glass vocals of Scarlet Scarlet and the Blue Furious Boy for a heart-on-ripped-and-ragged-sleeve gig that will hold your hand, beat your chest and walk you through every raging storm you’ll ever know.

Debut album Love Run available now:

‘A masterpiece of swirling, brooding, often epic drama…it grabs you and refuses to let go’ - Fatea Magazine

‘The best thing I’ve heard this year. Original, varied, engaging, exciting. A fantastic debut’- For Folk’s Sake

‘….one of the year’s most exhilarating, exciting and visceral debuts, they deserve to be huge’- Folk Radio UK

LOCKS
LOCKS are a London based alternative skeleton bluesy band, a trio made up of L.Geary-Griffin (lead vocal / guitar), Mike Byrne (double bass) and Marian McClenaghan (fiddle). After playing with a variety of different bands the three misfits found themselves in a rehearsal room together writing parts for murder ballads involving burying bodies, mythological creatures and dark family secrets. They self-released their debut four-track EP “Rattle Them Bones” in November 2016. It has a subtle fixation on the darker unnerving aspects of life and death all whilst keeping a jaunty, upbeat roots based rhythm flowing underneath. Debut single Wishbone has already received airplay from local and national radio including Steve Lamaqcs BBC6 show, Tom Robinsons introducing mixtape & Gary Crowley.

‘Mesmerising quality’ – Steve Lamacq BBC6 Music

‘another complete banger’ Tom Robinson BBC6 Music INTRODUCING Mixtape

‘Akin to the cinematic ghostliness of Nick Cave and Kate Bush, the trio masterfully weave eerie alt-folk with suspenseful blues rock, which they call skeletal blues’ -Ben Yung, The Revue

Flying Tailor
Pompeii & Bombay-born - London based band Flying Tailor began their journey as a duo with two guitars and two voices drifting between streams of memories, melancholia and patterns coming from electronic music recreated acoustically. This sound has evolved into an Urban Folk (or City folk) predominantly acoustic that wants to express the eclectic sounds of London City, now in a 5 members formation. Flying Tailor is a band that gives its best on stage, giving you an extremely energetic live performance and proposing constantly new material, never afraid of improvising when the audience requires a different vibe than what was planned.

DD Allen
Mixing well-tested values of quality songwriting and distinctive production values, DD has worked to define a sound that is both contemporary and sustainable. His compelling sound is a mixture of irresistible guitars, soulful harmonica and heartfelt vocals. Imagine a British Mike Scott tinged with the contemporary edge of a young James Walsh and you come close to the hugely distinctive vocal style that is DD Allen.

Dusty Wagons
London based 4 piece with a delicate and charming folk based sound. Expect to hear story driven lyrics/with a few surprises thrown in.
