Ivo Dimchev – new songs and covers
Ivo Dimchev is back at Zigfrid von Underbelly with his beautiful original songs! This time we can hear some new material which he wrote recently and for the FIRST TIME we get to hear him sing some covers!? He will do a few old time favourites like Gloomy Sunday, My Funny Valentine and others.
Ivo Dimchev is a choreographer and performer from Bulgaria, known internationally for his provocative and often controversial works of performance art. His work is an extreme and colourful mixture of performance art, dance, theatre, music, drawings, and photography. Dimchev is an author of more than 30 performances. He has received numerous international awards for dance and theatre and has presented his work across Europe, South America, and North America.
“Animalistic one moment, delicate the next, he meshes darkness and lightness with verbal and physical dexterity.”
-New York Times
“His beautiful singing sounds like a voice on an old record: poignantly far away.”
“His enormous musicality and remarkable vocal gift are part of all of his productions.”
