London Tap Jam
We can’t wait for the March edition of London’s only improvised tap dance and live music event at our fantastic venue Zigfrid Von Underbelly in Hoxton Square. Come along and discover a Shoreditch secret! (Evening Standard)
At London Tap Jam you will find the hottest improvised tap dance and live music that London has to offer! If you’re looking for a unique and exciting night out with a friendly crowd then you won’t want to miss this. Bring your friends and be prepared to be wowed!
This month we are excited to have the fantastic Ryan Campbell-Birch hosting and he will be joined by our brilliant live band, The Michèle Drees Trio, along with tap dancers from across the country and beyond. Join in on taps, on an instrument/vocals or just sit back and enjoy an amazing night!
From 7.15pm, LTJ presents the Renegade Stage. This month the fantastic Annette Walker will be giving dancers new to improvisation some informal tips. Bring your tap shoes and join in. IT’S FREE!
At 8pm the jam starts, featuring improvised tap dance and live music. Musicians and tap dancers are welcome to play – just tell Melody what you want to dance to and musicians speak to our band leader Michele Drees.

Fifth Ape // Illogical Notion // Nightfires // The Fremen // Shaun Clark
Fifth Ape – Experimental rock/metal two-piece from London/Norwich featuring Oli Mortham on guitar and Jack Fargher on drums. Big riffs, hard beats, down to earth melodies, and spacey time signatures.
Illogical Notion – London-based grunge rockers.
Nightfires – Riff chugging Led Zeppelin influence, mixed with the modern dirty guitars of Foo Fighters and vocal licks inspired by the likes of Fall Out Boy.
The Fremen – We describe ourselves as #urbanrock or #blackrock”, says Ciaran O’Fathaigh, singer and guitarist of The Fremen. “Our influences in terms of genre include grunge, grime, metal, hiphop, rock, rap, DnB and trap.”

Isle of Wight Festival New Blood Competition – Quarter-Final
Out of the thousands of hopefuls that entered the Isle of Wight Festival New Blood Competition, only a handful now remain in the Quarter-Finals. These artists are some of the most exciting and promising acts on the scene and will all be competing for a coveted slot at Isle of Wight Festival 2018!
Two winners from each Quarter-Final will progress to the next round: one chosen by a special industry judge and one chosen by the fans!
